As the title suggests, this blog is about a journey. But this journey is called "life".
This May 2020, I turned 30. Considering my lifestyle and habits, it will be a miracle if I will be reading this article in 2050. I am not saying that I do not have good habits but this thought comes to mind especially because of the COVID-19 situation.
We think that in the 20th century, we have the best medical advances yet nature has challenged and as time passes, there will be new challenges.
Anyways neither I am a doctor nor a soothsayer, but looking behind those 30 years I 'see and have' more regrate than accomplishments.
- I have accepted that life is hard.
- I have accepted that dream comes true but we have to pay that cost.
- I have accepted that every day is not the same.
- I have accepted that no matter how much we try to control, in the end, we are in the sea and we will have to go inflow. We can not control everything around us.
Now, this is what I learned until 30. Now the question comes why I have more regrets than accomplishments, so here is the list.
- Left the Master's study halfway.
- Masters was the first step of the plan, I wanted to pursue Ph.D.
- I love sharing knowledge and like to talk to different people but with a 9 to 5 job, where I spent most of the time in front of a laptop looking at the "coding screen", it's barely possible.
- I graduated at age of 20. Started working in the IT sector at age of 21. It is not an excuse but, I wanted to prove myself in the IT sector and during this process, I lost contact with all graduation, school friends. They are on the Facebook friend list, yet.
Going forward what I expect
- I am doing well in the IT field but 9 to 5 job is not for me. Until I pay debts, I do not see any option of this. I am planning to retire from IT before the 40s, of course after paying all debts.
- I am in the process to find a way where I will keep earning and resume learning. But again, with a 9 to 5 job it will be very hard.
- I like to Travel. I like visiting different places. I take a timeout from the job to do this, but I will like to do it more often.
- After getting a job in 2011, I have brought every gaming console but I hardly spend time with consoles. I would like to do that.
Let's see. Trying is the only thing I can do here. Let's hope for the best.
